M. Dale Beach

Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Carson and Son Funeral and Cremation Services, Maquoketa.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

MAQUOKETA — M. Dale Beach, 66, of Maquoketa, died Saturday at the Jackson County Regional Health Center, Maquoketa.

Burial will be in the Sutton Cemetery, rural Maquoketa.

Marvin Dale Beach was born Dec. 5, 1939, in Marion to Marvin F. and Ruth M. McMaster Beach. He married Margene A. Ripple on April 24, 1960, in Maquoketa.

He was a 1957 graduate of Maquoketa High School.

He served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He received an honorable discharge in 1965.

He farmed in the Maquoketa area until November of 1967. He then worked with Caraway Feed and Seed in Maquoketa as a bookkeeper for many years.

He was of the Methodist faith and a member of the Jackson County Historical Society.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Mrs. Angie (David) Burmahl of Baldwin and Mrs. Amy (Jeff) Wilms of Delmar; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lois (Leo) Westphal of Maquoketa and Mrs. Alice (John) Gilmore of Maquoketa; two sisters- and brothers-in-law, Connie and Gerald Owen of Maquoketa and Judy and Harlan Tonderum of Maquoketa; one brother-in-law, Kenneth Burns of Maquoketa; and numerous nieces and nephews.

An M. Dale Beach memorial fund has been established.
