Doris Robinson

Doris J. Robinson, 71, of Thomson, Ill., died Thursday at her home.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at York Community Congre-gational Church, Thomson. The Rev. Ron Abbott, pastor of York Community Congregational Church, will be officiating. Burial will be in the Lower York Cemetery, Thomson. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Thomson.

She was born Sept. 14, 1934, in Clinton to William and Mabel Claussen Obermiller. She married Dean K. Robinson on Dec. 27, 1953, at First Presbyterian Church, Clinton.

She graduated from Clinton High School in 1952.

She was a homemaker. She also worked with Thomson School District 301 as a custodian for 20 years and in the kitchen for 16 years.

She was a member of Women of the Moose, Savanna, Ill., and Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion, Thomson.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Donald (Debra) Robinson of Prophetstown, Ill., and Craig (Linda) Robinson of Thomson; three daughters, Sarah (fiance Mark Knott) Robinson of Fulton, Ill., Mrs. Susan (Peter) Ohrt of Clinton and Mrs. Deana (Korey) Aljets of Thomson; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Wilbur Obermiller of Milan, Ill.; and three sisters, Ruth Goble of DeWitt, Marian Byers of Clinton and Shirley Wohlstadter of Rock Falls, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
