Herbert H. Hueneke

BELLEVUE — Herbert H. Hueneke, 82, of Bellevue, died Tuesday at Jackson County Hospital, Maquoketa.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Bellevue. The Rev. Paul Gammelin will be officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be today from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Kingery Funeral Home, Bellevue, and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the service time at the church. Kingery Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements.

He was born Sept. 30, 1923, north of Bellevue to Herman H. and Edna Felderman Hueneke.

He was a farmer.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a member of the Bellevue American Legion and St. John Lutheran Church where he was an usher and former board member.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Lois (George) Moore of Maquoketa and Mrs. Eleanor (Vernon) Griebel of Bellevue; and three nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
