MORRISON, Ill. — Leah C. Bealer, 100, of Morrison, died Wednesday at Resthave Nursing Home, Morrison.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Fenton (Ill.) United Methodist Church with the Rev. Brad Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Fenton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service time Friday at the church. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Phillip and John Bealer, Bill Berge, Edward Zuidema, Steven Stanton, and Eric Lundin.

She was born Aug. 17, 1905, to Clarence and Minnie Friedrichs Bugbee. She married Charles Bealer on March 6, 1926, in Clinton. He died in 2000.

She was a homemaker and farmed with her husband in Whiteside County, Ill.

She was a member of Fenton United Methodist Church where she played the organ for many years, was a member of the church’s circle and Home Bureau.

Survivors include one son, Laurence (Beverly) Bealer of Morrison; three daughters, Mrs. Janice (E. William) Lundin of Eagle River, Wis., Mrs. Joan (David) Zuidema of Morrison and Dee (Daniel W. Wohlstadter) Berge of Morrison; one son-in-law, Donald Miller of Morrison; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

The family requests that memorials be made to Fenton United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, one grandchild, two brothers and one sister.
