TIERRA VERDE, Fla. — Gloria M. Stierman, 79, of Tierra Verde and formerly of Dubuque, died Saturday at her home.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Behr’s Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., Dubuque. Burial will be in the Linwood Cemetery following cremation rites. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the service time Friday at the funeral home.
She was born Oct. 26, 1926, in Monmouth, Iowa, to Earl and Dorothy Boggard Staggs. She married Eugene R. Stierman on Oct. 25, 1952. He died in 2005. They lived in Dubuque until 1964 when they moved to Clinton. They lived there until retiring to Florida in 1983.
Survivors include one son, Michael D. Stierman of Riverview, Fla.; three daughters, Mrs. Diana L. (Tim) Mandrell of Hurst, Texas, Roberta A. Stierman of Clinton and Mrs. Debra L. (Paul) Odell of Watauga, Texas; eight grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
The Gloria M. Stierman Memorial Fund has been established.
She was preceded in death by one son, one brother and one sister.
