CLINTON — Ellen F. Klare, 52, of Clinton, died Saturday at Mercy North Hospital.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at New Hope Lutheran Church, formerly St. Stephen’s and the Lutheran Church of the Atonement, 401 N. Fourth St. The Rev. Michael Brewer will be officiating. Burial will follow in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Derrick and Dan Determan, Jason Hudson, Joseph Gundelfinger, Robert Beck and Tom Klare.
She was born Feb. 8, 1954, in Clinton to Robert and Virginia Burke Hudson. She married Bruce Klare on Feb. 27, 1982, at the Lutheran Church of the Atonement.
She graduated from Clinton High School in 1973.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Heather Renee (Robert) Beck of Plainfield, Ill., and Nicole Klare of Clinton; her mother, Virginia Hudson of Clinton; one sister, Mrs. RaeAnn (William) Gundelfinger of Clinton; one brother, James (Christine) Hudson of O’Fallon, Mo.; and two grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Genesis Hospice.
She was preceded in death by her father and her grandparents.
