Helen M. Lampe, 96, of Clinton and formerly of Galena, Ill., died Sunday at her home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Miller and Steinke Funeral Home, Galena. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be after noon Thursday at the funeral home.
She was born April 14, 1909, in Dubuque to August and Minnie Kruse Radloff. She married Claude Lampe on Aug. 28, 1930, in Dubuque. He died in 1972.
She was a clerk with Woolworth and Krege stores, Dubuque. After moving to Galena, she worked with Sally’s Shop, Galena Gazette and the A&P store before retiring after 18 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Lois Wasson of Clinton and Carol Lawless of St. Louis Park, Minn.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and one grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, Galena.
