The Clinton Herald Wednesday January 31, 1996 p. 5 William J. Zairser of Clinton will celebrate his 80th birthday from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Relatives and friends are invited. It is requested that gifts be omitted. Mr. Zaiser was born Jan. 30, 1916, in Hartley, Iowa, and has been a resident of Clinton since 1920. He is a graduate of Lyons High School. He married Doloris E. Claussen, Aug. 2, 1941. She died in May of 1992. He is the father of a daughter, Mrs. Bruce (Mauri Lynn) Johnson of Davenport. He has a granddaughter. Mr. Zaiser is a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, and served on its board several times. He also served on the Clinton Community College Board and the Paul Sharer Foundation. He is a member of the Kiwanis, Masonic Lodge 189 of Fulton, the Scottish Rite, the Hi-12 Club and Fulton Country Club. Mr. Zaiser was employed for 35 years in management for Joyce Lumber Company and Eclipse Lumber Company.
