The Clinton Herald Wednesday January 31, 1996 p. 5 Ethel Dunlavey, of 402 3rd St., DeWitt. will celebrate her 90th birthday with an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11 at the DeWitt Community Center. Relatives and friends are invited. It is requested that gifts be omitted. Mrs. Dunlavey was born February 11, 1906, on a farm near Goose Lake, Iowa, to Gus and Winifred Farrell Thiessen. She married Michael Dunlavey, Nov. 21, 1923. After their marriage they farmed near Goose Lake. He died ni 1959. She is the mother of two children, Leonard of rural Delmar, and Mrs. John (Rosemary) Ledin of Ankeny. She has six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She enjoys traveling, dancing, playing golf, cards, puzzles and is an avid camera fan.
