The Clinton Herald Tuesday October 21, 1997 p. 5 The engagement and approaching marriage of Jennifer Anne Burken and James Arvin Jacobs have been announced. Parents of the couple are Daniel and Lois Burken of Miles, and Henrietta Jacobs of Ireton, and the late Emil Jacobs. Vows will be exchanged at 2 p.m. Nov. 8 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Sugar Creek. A reception will be from 4 to 8 p.m. followed by a dance from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Preston Town Hall.. The couple have invited her parents to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary at a joint reception. Relatives and friends are invited. The bride-to-be is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa and is employed as a chemist with diamond Vogel Paints in Orange City. He fiance is a graduate of Northwest Iowa Technical College in Sheldon, and is employed in the production department with Diamond Vogel Paints in Orange City.
