The last Will and Testament of Ira Stockwell of Lyons, Clinton County, State of Iowa.

I, Ira Stockwell considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory (blessed be Almighty God for the same) do make and publish this my last will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say).

First, I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife, Vashti Stockwell all of my Real Estate, xxxx. The North West Quarter of the North West Quarter of Section No. Twelve (12) in Township No. Eighty Three (83) North of Range No. Six (6) East in State of Iowa, & Lot No or street piece or parcel of ground in the City of Lyons deeded by Augustus Schofield to xxxxx Ira Stockwell being in out lot No. Thirty Seven (37) including the house on the same & all the appurtenances and hereditaments thereunto pertaining. And also give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Vashti aforesaid all my personal property deducting from the same all debts I may be owing. I include in personal property all my credits, good & chattels, all to be her property and used & disposed of by her as she may in her judgment & determine.

I hereby appoint Ira Stockwell Jr. my sole executor of this my last will & Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 6th day of October A. D. 1855, at Lyons Clinton County, State of Iowa.

This is to certify that the above named Ira Stockwell known to me to be the identical person who signed the foregoing will & Testament, came before me as Notary Public in and for said county and acknowledged that he freely and voluntarily signed the forgoing will & Testament, his act and deed.

In witness my hand and Notarized seal. (by me affixed) this 6th day of October A. D. 1855
