Will of Oliver P. Alger

The following is the record of the last Will and Testament of Oliver P. Alger deceased late of the County of Clinton in the State of Iowa.

Xxxxx all xxx by these present that I Oliver P. Alger of the County of Clinton and State of Iowa do make and publish this my last Will and Testament.

I give and bequeath to my brother Ebner the South East Quarter (1/4) of the South East Quarter (1/4) of Section No. Nine (9) in Township No. Eighty (80) of Range No. Two (2) East.

I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Sarah, the North East Quarter (1/4) of the South East Quarter (1/4) of Section No. Nine (9) in the Township Eighty (80) of Range No. Two (2) East.

I also give and bequeath to my beloved wife Sarah two thirds of all my personal property and the remainder thereof I give and devise to my Brother Joseph and my Sisters Margaret and Charlotte, (after paying from the same all my lawful debts owed by me) to be divided equally among these.

I do nominate and appoint my beloved wife Sarah to the Late Executrix of this my last Will and Testament in presence of the Witnesses named below this 1St. day of Nov A. D. 1853.

Samuels, Clerk of the County Court of Clinton County Iowa do hereby certify that the within Will was on the 2nd day of June 1854 proven by John Jacob Theissen and ordered by the country in Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal of said County of DeWitt this 2nd day of January A.D. 1854
