Will of John C. Turner

The following is the record of the last will and Testament of John C. Turner, Deceased.

I, John C. Turner, of Clinton County in the State of Iowa being of sound mind and memory do make this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all other Wills by me at any time made.

First, I direct my Executor hereinafter named so soon as they conveniently can from my Estate to pay all current debts dues and demands against me.

Second, I give and devise and bequeath to my brother George W. Turner One hundred dollars.

Third, I give, devise and bequeath to my Sister Harriet Trites, wife of Job (might be John) Trites fifty dollars.

Fourth, I give, devise and bequeath to my Sister Eleanor Homer, wife of John F. Homer Fifty dollars.

Fifth, I give devise and bequeath to my friend John F. Homer husband of my Sister Fifty dollars. These several bequests to be paid by my Executor as soon after my decease as they conveniently can.

All the rest, residue and remainder of my Estate, Real Personal and Mixed wherever situated and whenever acquired which at the time of my decease may possessed or xxxxtter unto I give devise and bequeath unto the aforesaid George W. Turner, Joseph L. Turner and John F. Homer share and share alike.

And xxxxx I do nominate and appoint the said John F. Homer and Joseph L. Turner executors of this my last will and Testament.

In Witness, Whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed my seal this 9th day of April A.D. 1850.

Signed, Sealed, published and declared by the said John C. Turner as and for his last Will and Testament in presence of the undersigned who in the presence of said John C. Turner have hereto subscribed our names as Witness.

I, L. H. Samuels, Clerk of the County Court of Clinton County Iowa do hereby certify that the within written Will was on the 6th day of February A. D. 1854 proven by Moses Goff and Ahillas Robb, subscribing Witness to the xxxx and xxxxx by said Court.

In Witness where of I have hereto set my hand and seal of said County at DeWitt this 6th day of February A. D. 1854
