Last Will and Testament of William Koons

I William Koons of the County of Clinton and State of Iowa do make this my last will and testament.

1st. I give and bequeath to my son George B. Koons they sum of One Thousand dollars.

2nd. I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah E. Davis the sum of One Thousand dollars.

3rd. I give and bequeath to my daughter Allie Prindle? the sum of One Thousand dollars.

4th. I give and bequeath to my son Charles N.? Koons the sum of One Thousand dollars.

5th. I give and bequeath to my son Frank H. Koons the sum of One Thousand dollars.

6th. I give and bequeath to my wife Phillipi J. Koons all the residue of my property both real and personal.

7th. I hereby make and constitute my wife Phillipi J. Koons the executrix of this my last will and testament without bonds.

In witness whereof I have hereunto affixed my hand at Clinton this 26th day of October 1888.

The above instrument in writing was signed by William Koons on the 26th day of October 1888 who declared the same to be his last will and testament and at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other we have subscribed our names as witnesses this 26th day of October 1888.

I William Kreim, clerk of the District Court in and for said County do hereby certify that on this day at the April Term A. D. 1889 of said Court the will and instrument in writing hereunto annexed and bearing date in the 26th day of Oct.1888 was duly proved before and allowed by said court as and for the last will and testament of the real and personal estate of Wm. Koons late of said County deceased and was by said Court ordered to be recorded as such will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of the court at my office in Clinton in said County this 1st. day of May A. D. 1889.
