Last Will and Testament of Catharine Johnck

I Catharine Johnck being of sound mind and memory and of lawful age do make publish and declare this my last will and testament.
First: I direct the payment of all my lawful debts.

Second: I make the following bequests: I give devise and bequeath to my grandchildren Catharine Johnck, Christian Johnck, Henry Johnck and Amelia Johnck sons and daughters of John Johnck and Hans J. Johnck the sum of four hundred dollars each and I direct that my son Hans J. Johnck shall receive from the executor of this will the sum going to his children Henry Johnck, Amelia Johnck for said children until they arrive of the age of their majority when it shall be paid to them without interest. And I direct that my son John Johnck shall receive as trustee and in trust for said Catharine and Christian Johnck the said sum of $400 each which shall be held by him so in trust until said names and children shall arrive at their majority when it shall be paid to them without interest. I also give and bequeath unto Louisa Buch my Granddaughter the sum of $200 and I give and devise to my daughter Margaretha Roenfeldt the sum of four hundred dollars. And I give to John Johnck all my furniture bedding etc now in room occupied by me or at my death.

Third: I give devise and bequeath to Hans J. Johnck, John Johnck, Henry Johnck, Margaretha Roenfeldt and Johanna Buch my children in equal parts share and share alike all the rest and residue of my estate.

I hereby appoint and constitute my son Hans J. Johnck the Executor of this my last will and testament and direct that he be required only to give bond in the sum of Two Thousand dollars.
Dated this 21st day of August 1886.

I William Kreim, clerk of the District Court in and for said County do hereby certify that on this day at the April Term A. D. 1889 of said Court the will and instrument in writing hereunto annexed and bearing date on the 21st day of August 1886 was duly proved before and allowed by said court as and for the last will and testament of the real and personal estate of Catharine Johnck late of said County deceased and was by said Court ordered to be recorded as such will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto at my hand and affixed the seal of the court at my office in Clinton in said County this 3rd day of May A. D. 1889.
