shooting 1913-16, where burial?

A woman is looking for information on her grandfather and she asked us at the McGregor Library. His name was William Burmeister. She writes "Rumor was that in McGregor, sometime between 1913-1916, my grandfather was involved in an accidental shooting in a pool hall or tavern. He abandoned six kids, the eldest was my mother... My family wants to have closure on him and know where he may be buried." I searched the records we have in the library, but I am not finding him. Any suggestions on how to help her?
