St Mary's Catholic Church in Guttenburg

My GG Grandfather lived in Guttenburg from 1850-1860. He had two wifes who died there, two sons who died there, and my Great Grandfather was baptized there. It would be likely that these events were recorded with St Mary's. I contacted them and was told that records that old, were moved to the Archdiocese at Dubuque. As of now, I have not had success in obtaining anything.
Has anyone else ran across this type of situation at St Mary's / Archdiocese of Dubuque?
If so, any recommendations?
