My great grandfather was a Christoffers Son in Norway. Their names:
Christoffer Ellensen and Martha Handsdatter/
their son Hagbarth Christofferson/Christophersen/Kristofferson.
One family went to Michigan ( using last name Christopherson) his name was Gorgen(George)he had 2 children - son named Victor B. Christopherson who married Hildegard Schwindt and a daughter.....Alma.Other son Hans went with the last name MORK.Gunerius went with Christophersen as did Edvard and Karen and Annette(died young as well as a first son Edvard).
Son Hagbarth went with Christophersen.....but 2 sons Oscar and Obsjorn (Ben) went with Morch when they came to America. However his last name was listed spelled Kristofferson on his (can't remember). Morch being the farm name in Norway.
Hagbarths other children, Karen, Rugnhild, Astrid, Eli, Helen, Mozart and Christoffer went with Christophersen/on.
I did not recognize the Christopherson you talked about.
I do not have the children of others mentioned...sure wish I did.
Hagbarth married Gustava Helene F. Pedersen whos mother was a Solberg.......but I do know that the name Solberg was also a farm name. The mother went with Lena Solberg. Sure would like to find more information there.
Have you tried the Digitalarkivet in Horway?
I found my Christophersens listed there.
I will try my best:
http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=vishase&filnamn=foo703.wc2&vari
that 2 may be a question mark....if no luck you might want to try the first parts of this and then search.Have you gone to Rootsweb sites and Ships Lists? Etc?
My grandfather came over on ship OSCAR II.
