Any Information?

I know that my ggreatmother Alice Miranda Poole was born in Clayton Co.in 1856, as was her brother George Albert in 1861. My gggrandmother Susannah Dart married a John C. Poole. It is believed that he was from Elkader. He enlisted in the Civil War and may have died on a hospital ship "City of Memphis?" in 1863. Darts lived around Highland. Is there any records or information concerning any of this? I know very little about the Poole side. Darts and Susannah went on to Earlham, IA.
