I just happened onto your querys. I always assumed there was a connection between Susannah and Alice Miranda. Didn't know if they were mother and daughter or sisters. I was glad to find her name was Dart. The Darts were listed in (The History of Madison Co. Iowa 1879, P.636) My GGGrandfather, James W. Fry 1820-1902 Married Susannah Poole and his son Daniel Luther Fry 1848-1937 married Alice Miranda Poole. 1870 census Penn twp. Madisn Co. Iowa, Dart- Were Betsy & Edwin the parents of Susannah? Were Ornan and Susannah siblings? 1880 census Penn twp. Madison Co. Iowa, Dart- Who are Flora 19, & ?? 20 living with Ornans family? I can't seem to leave this alone!! None of it really makes any difference to me as James W. and Susannah didn't have children but she did raise his children. Where were her Children? I didn't find them with Darts or Frys. As usual a few answers bring more questions !! but that is the way of genealogy. Thanks
