Kathy--Thankyou so much for your response. I really dont know what to say about the 1880 census you found. Marie was born in Belm Germany in 1838. This is a church record from Germany. There could have been other children born to her that I don't know of. I wonder if they were born in Germany. So, that leads to another question--When did she come to U. S. She married her second husband in April 1, 1866. His name was Johann Jahreiss. They lived in Minnesota. That can't be true. This whole thing is a mess. This whole thing sounds like a cover up. Ha Her obt. states she married Jahreiss April, 1866 in Baltimore.Yet, Travis and her daughter Louise was born in 1867 and is in the 1870 census. What a mystery.There are so many unanswered questions
