I overlooked your question "Do you know where he was first buried?" In going through some old correspondence I found this from Fayette County HS: There was a gravestone for Wellington M Goodrich and his wife Mary J at Grandview Cemetery in Smithfield Township." It looks like he was re-interred at Reed Cemetery as part of a Veterans project.
