Researching Benjamin Torrey

TORREY

I believe I have discovered another War of 1812 soldier who is buried in Clayton county - Benjamin Torrey. I'm having difficulty finding enough supporting data to confirm his first name & service in the war. Two separate news articles in the 1880's speak of decorating soldier graves, probably Old Garnavillo cemetery, but the specific cemetery wasn't named in either article. "Mr. Torrey, War of 1812" is listed among the veterans whose graves were decorated. He may have been the father of Alvin Torrey.

Any info. would be appreciated. I will be adding him to the War of 1812 honor roll on the Clayton co. website once I gather enough info.
