I've searched ancestry.com and all of the Iowa newspaper archives that I have access to. Following is all that I found .........

Sam W. Perovich of Tama, a trucker, was arrested by R.L. Grossnickle of the highway patrol and charged with drunken driving. Perovich appeared before H.E. Fox, Tama justice of the peace and was bound over to grand jury. His bond of $500 was furnished.Waterloo Daily Courier, Monday, Feb. 18, 1952
Toledo, Ia. - Two men charged with drunken driving appeared in Tama county district court and were each fined $300 and costs. The two men, Sam W. Perovich of Tama and Merle A. Buchan of Marshalltown, paid their fines in full.--- ---
