In the Illinois Statewide Marriage Index http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/GenealogyMWeb/MarriageSearchServlet , there is a marriage for Austin J DePue and Orpha Cummins, 2/11/1841, Stephenson Co., IL I also found a listing in Ancestry.com , Illinois Marriages to 1850 (LDS Family History Center) for Austin DePue and Orpha Comming, 2/23/1841, Stephenson Co., IL.

I am also searching for information on Samuel H. James and Eliza Jane (Dow) James. They are the great-great grandparents of my husband. Samuel and Eliza's son, Albert W. James (listed as Alfred in the 1882 History of Clayton County, Iowa) is my husband's great grand-father.

Albert died and is buried in Monona. His widow, Mary (Irwin) James and their children, Albert W., Charlotte, Eva, Irene moved to Denver, CO after 1900 and are buried there. Albert and Mary also had a son Horace E. that I have not been able to trace after 1900, Monona, IA.
