Catherine is the daughter of Clarence and Ida Patterson who lived for years in Elkader. Catherine and Clyde Beamer lived in Elkader from at least 1906- 1916. Then she married Arthur Carpenter in about 1919-1924 and also lived in Elkader. Last known whereabouts was Des Moines in 1925 with her children. But I suspect she came back to Elkader due to family there. My father told me once that he thought she died in a car wreck in the 1930's but thats assumed and location unknown. Thanks for everyones help.
