I am a descendant of HENRY WIEGAND born in ALsace-Hesse, who was an officer in French Army about 1850. Emigrated with his wife Catherine to Taylor Township, Wayne Co., Mich. I have really had a hard time getting much more information about that first generation. His son, John, was my grandfather.

It is very hard to get information on the first generation! Let me know what you might find on him.
