Joseph Clifford Boardman, 73, of Guttenberg, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital.

Visitation was from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Jan. 28, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home.

Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m. Jan. 28, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Marvin Bries.

Interment was at Goshen Cemetery. Pallbearers were Danny and Jean Miller, Steve Miller, Theresa (Miller) Eglseder, Dennis and Vicky Errthum.

Joseph Clifford Boardman was born the son of Roy Boardman and Mary (McGrath) Boardman on March 15, 1931. Joseph graduated from the Harpers Ferry High School, worked for the Milwaukee Railroad and served his country during the Korean Conflict. He later went on to work for John Deere for 32 years until his retirement. On Dec. 12, 1987 he was united in marriage with Denise Miller. Some of Joseph's favorite pastimes included boating, hunting and cutting firewood.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Denise; two sons, Dennis (Rita) Boardman, Dave (Toni) Boardman; two daughters, Deb (Bus) Hefel, Dena (Anders) Larsson; two brothers, Bill (Shirley) Boardman and Gerald (Karen) Boardman; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ralph, and one son, Doug.
