Douglas Joseph Boardman, 33, of Kula, Maui, Hawaii, formerly of Guttenberg, died Friday, May 4, 1990, in a one vehicle accident in Niu Valley, Niu/Kaupo.

Services were conducted by Father Paul Peters at 11 a.m. Saturday May 12, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Guttenberg.

Visitation was at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home where the scripture wake service was held Friday evening.

Burial was in St. Ann-St. Joseph Cemetery, Harpers Ferry. Pallbearers were Bob Garlow, Wayne Boardman, Kevin Meehan, Perry Moser, Mike Hefel and Dan Schmitt.

Mr. Boardman was born Dec. 15, 1956 in Dubuque, a son of Joseph and Rose (Garlow) Boardman. He was a heavy equipment operator.

Surviving are his parents, Joseph Boardman of Guttenberg and Rose Boardman of Dubuque; two brothers, David of Guttenberg and Dennis of China; two sisters, Mrs. Martin (Deborah) Hefel of Holy Cross and Dena Wiedman of Stockholm, Sweden; and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Garlow of Harpers Ferry.
