Monona, Ia.- Services for Mrs. Ella Thoreson*, 90, were Tuesday in the Norway Church with Rev. R. A. Steege officiating. Mrs. Thoreson died at Cambridge, Minn., Saturday.
She was born in Norway, Nov. 19, 1865. She lived in Farmersburg, Ia., for many years. Survivors are one son, Herb of Farmersburg; one daughter, Mrs. Godfrey Skogman of Cambridge, and several grandchildren.

dlhaak@osage.netMrs. Ella Thoresen died Saturday June 16, 1956 in a nursing home at Isanti, Minn. at the age of 90 years, 6 months and 26 days.
She was born November 19, 1865 in Nes Hedemarken, Norway. She came to America with her parents when she was nine years old. She was confirmed in the Norway Lutheran Church and was a lifelong member of this church and also the Norway Lutheran Ladies Aid.
On Dec. 14, 1895 she was united in marriage with Ole Thoresen and they came to the farm just west of Farmersburg which was their home until 1926, when they retired and moved to Farmersburg where they lived until they built their home in St. Olaf.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Julia and Caroline; and two brothers, Carl and Ed Johnson.
Surviving are one daughter Caroline (Mrs. Godfrey Skogman) of Cambridge, Minn.; one son Herbert of Farmersburg; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
