On Monday last, Wm. Toler, an inmate of the county poor house, attempted to release himself from the cares of this life, by suiciding, by cutting a very severe gash in his wrist with a razor, but the attempt was not successful. He was sent to the poor house from Read township in 1871, because of a running sore on his right leg, which has troubled him for about 30 years, and which prevented his working. Monday was his 79th birthday, he wished to celebrate it by making
away with himself.

Last week we recorded the attempted suicide of Wm. Toler, at the county poor farm, by cutting himself in the wrist with a razor, and this week we have to record his death from the effects of the injuries inflicted on himself at that time. His blood was in a very bad condition, and inflammation set in the wound, causing his death at 6 o'clock Tuesday evening. Mr. T., was born in Germany in 1803, and was naturalized as a citizen of the United States, at Cincinnati, in 1844. He has no relatives living, so far as can be learned.
