Funeral Services Held Saturday For Roy Pixler
Funeral services were held Saturday at 1:30 at the home in Monona and at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Monona for Roy Pixler, 59, who passed away at his home October 4. The rites were in charge of Rev. R. C. Schlueter and burial was at Postville cemetery.
Roy Pixler, son of George and Mae (Harmon) Pixler, was born August 1, 1891 in Grand Meadow township, Clayton county. He married Erma Lubbers July 31, 1915. They farmed in Grand Meadow township for 31 years, retiring to Monona four years ago.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Glen, of Luana; a daughter, Mrs. Verla Mae Heusman, of Postville; three brothers, Ralph of West Union; George of Dubuque, and Gerald of Eastman, Wisconsin, and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and three brothers.
