Milton E. Franck, of 4 Deer St., Hazlet, New Jersey, died Saturday, January 7, 1995 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. He was 68 years old.
Milton, son of Elmer W. and Alice B. (Owen) Franck, was born January 30, 1926 in Monona, Iowa.
He graduated from Monona High School in 1943 and enlisted in the armed services where he served in the Navy and Air Force for 26 years. He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze Star. He retired in 1969 and moved to Hazlet where he was a mail carrier for 20 years with the U. S. Postal Service in Matawan, retiring in 1990. He was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Keypart.
Surviving are his wife, Wilma K. (Stoecker) Franck; a son, Randolph of Cliffwood Beach; three daughters, Renee Zimmerman of Hazlet, Sheila Alsman of Brick Township and Christine Groden of Boothwyn, Pa., a sister, Evelyn (Forest) Kelly of Postville; six grandchildren; one uncle, Harley D. Owen of Eureka, Ill., his mother-in-law, Wilma Babbitt of Hazlet; one brother-in-law, Carl (Patty) Stoecker of Seattle, Wash., and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Eugene Timmerman.
Services were held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 11th at the Day Funeral Home in Keypart with interment at a later date.
