Elkader Register, Thur., 11 Aug. 1892.

DIED- At the count poor farm Tuesday, occurred the death of John Boyle, aged 71 years. He had been an inmate of the poor house since last March, at which time his health failed him, and he was obliged to seek a shelter at the expense of the county. We are informed that he has five grown children, all in comfortable circumstances residing at Dubuque, and it is a shame that they should allow their father to become a county charge and fill a pauper's grave. His remains were interred in the Catholic cemetery at this place Wednesday.
