GRANT BAYMAN RITES SUNDAY
Last rites were held Sunday at the Tuecke funeral home in Guttenberg for Grant Bayman, 75. Mr. Bayman died at the Iowa Soldiers home in Marshalltown on Friday. Burial was at Guttenberg cemetery, with the Rev. Gerald Schimmelpfennig officiating and military rites conducted by the American Legion.
Pallbearers were Ted Petsche, Dwain Hess, Donald Stoeffler and Donald Groth.
Mr. Bayman, who was a veteran of World War I, had lived in Guttenberg for a number of years, but had been a soldier’s home resident since April 14, 1963. He suffered a heart attack shortly before his death.
Born at Stitzer, Wisconsin, April 17, 1891, Mr. Bayman was the son of Henry and Lucy Venable Bayman.
Remaining are his wife, Addie, of Spokane, Wash., and three brothers, Malcolm Bayman of Lancaster, Wis.; Marion Bayman of Stitzer, Wis.; Rollin Bayman of Los Angeles.
