Robert Beck, 26, Killed In Korean War.

Special to the Gazette. Elkader - Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Beck of Littleport received word Friday night from the defense department that their son, Robert, 26, was killed in Korea Nov. 16.

A veteran of World war II, Beck was in the reserve army until re-enlisting in the regular army last July. He was home on furlough about six weeks ago.

Upon return to duty, he was given a choice of going either to Germany or Korea. Beck chose Korea. He left the United States about a month ago, and was in Korea only about two weeks before he was killed.
