Mrs. Joe Russell
Artelissa Janet Roberts was born in Green County, Penn., on Aug. 9th 1856 and died at the home of her daughter in McGregor, Iowa, Dec. 27th, 1929 at the age of 73 years, 4 months and 18 days. She came to Iowa with her parents when quite young and has since made her home at Luana and later at McGregor. She was twice married, and leaves to mourn her loss, one daughter Mrs. Jess Vaughn, three grandchildren, Charles Vaughan, Mrs. Iva Balcer, Mrs. Jessie Bachtell, and 4 great grandchildren all of McGregor and one brother, Walter Roberts and many other relatives and friends.

The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the M. E. Church at Luana, Rev. Schepple of McGregor officiating. Burial in the Luana cemetery.
