MRS. WM. ROBERTS
Elizabeth Herod was born in the town of Virginia, Green Co., Pennsylvania, Sept. 23, 1827 and died Sept. 8th. 1918, at the age of 90 years, 11 months and 15 days.

She was united in marriage to William Roberts on the 28th of March, 1850, to them were born five children, three having been laid to rest and she leaves to mourn her loss two children, Walter and Artelissa, two grand children and three great grand children. Her husband died June 30th, 1908. They came to Iowa in 1870 and have since made Clayton county their home.

Funeral was held from the Luana M. E. church, Tuesday afternoon, at 2:30 o’clock. Rev. Williams officiating. Burial in the Luana cemetery.
