Rites Tuesday For Enoch Mork
Final rites were held Tuesday, July 6, 1976 for Enoch K. Mork, 82, Clermont, who died Sunday, July 4, at the Good Samaritan Center in Postville. Services were at the Marion Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert Henriksen officiating and burial in the Marion Cemetery.
Enoch Elmer (K.), in Clayton County, the son of Knudt E. and Betsy Olson Mork. He was baptized and confirmed at the Marion Lutheran Church. October 25, 1919 he was married to Alma N. Olson at the East Clermont Lutheran Church, and they were the parents of two daughters.
They farmed for 42 years before retiring to their home in Clermont in 1961. For 23 years he was a seed corn salesman. He also served on his church board of deacons and trustees.
Mork served in World War I and was inducted at Elkader February 24, 1918 and served in the 118 th Infantry, 30th Division. He was a member of the Clermont American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Abel and Reuben and four sisters, Rosina, Alma, Sophia, and Ida.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Eileen) Galloway, Omaha, Neb., and Mrs. Lloyd (Thelma) Palmer, Elmhurst, Ill; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Henry and Kenneth, Elgin; and three sisters, Mrs. Melvin (Klara) Olson, West Union; Mrs. Ruth Liddle, Waukon and Mrs. Emma Imholte, Waukegan, Ill.
