Burial services for Mrs. Mary Crandall, 96, were held Wednesday afternoon from the Burnham funeral home in West Union to Hill Crest cemetery in Volga. The Rev. Roland Fletcher officiated.
Mrs. Crandall died Sunday Jan. 13, at West Union following several weeks of illness.
Born near Volga, Sept. 24, 1855, she was the daughter of Zechariah and Mary Jennings.
She was married to Wallace Crandall of Wadena, who preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 1931. She spent her entire life in Fayette county.
Seven children were born, of which six survive. They are: Mrs. Mabel Auer, Glendale, Calif.; Mrs. Bertha Burgett, Fayette; John of Chicago; Walden, Plo, Mo.; Rudy, Arlington; and Theo of West Union.
One son, Lester Leroy Crandall, barber at Volga, preceded her in death Oct. 01, 1938, also grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren survive.
Casket bearers were six grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Crandall and his mother, Mrs. Charles Puffet attended the funeral and burial services.
