Funeral services for Adolph G. Krieg, 79, were held Saturday afternoon, March 06, at 2 o'clock at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran church in Elkport. The Rev. W. G. Weber, pastor of the church, officiated.
Mr. Krieg died Wednesday afternoon, March 03, having been bedfast since Jan. 01. About two years ago he submitted to an operation and had been in poor health since that time.
He was the son of Matthias and Margaretta Krieg and was born in Elk township May 27, 1868. He was married to Lena Waterman, April 06, 1904, at Manchester. To this union two daughters, Edna and Luella, were born.
Until his retirement in 1940, when he moved to Elkport, Mr. Krieg was engaged in farming in Elk township.
Preceding him in death were his wife, who died Nov. 18, 1937, and one brother, August.
Surviving are his two daughters, Mrs. Albert Jaster and Mrs. Wm Ball, both of Elkport; three grandchildren, Merlin, Anita, and Lois; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Schultz of Edgewood and Mrs. Fred Skinner of Manchester; and a number of nephews and nieces.
