STRAWBERRY POINT: Mrs. F. H. Howard, 86, died Friday night at Mercy hospital in Cedar Rapids where she was taken by ambulance Friday morning.

Alwilda Wood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hervey Wood, was born near Strawberry Point October 02, 1859. On February 12, 1901 she was married to Dr. F. H. Howard. She was a charter member of Order of Eastern Star No. 86, a charter member of Chapter ER P.E O., a member of the Congregational church and Friendship Camp No. 232, Royal Neighbors of America.

Survivors are the husband, Dr. F. H. Howard, a nephew, Robert Wood of Pasadena, Calif., a step-daughter, Mrs. Ernest Young of Lyman, Nebr., a step-son, Dr. William H. Howard, Oelwein.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Congregational church.
