Albert Huckstadt, 75, died Friday at his home in Farmersburg from heart trouble and complications. He had been in ailing health for the past six months, and had been confined to his home for the last month.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1:45 at the home and at 2 o'clock at St. John's Lutheran church, Farmersburg. Burial was in the Farmersburg and Wagner cemetery.

Mr. Huckstadt was born Sept. 20, 1869, in Germany, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Huckstadt. In September, 1894, he was married to Marie Ihlenfeldt, and in November of the same year the couple came to the United States. Their first home was made near Elkader, and later they moved to a farm near Clayton Center, and to another farm near Farmersburg. In 1920 they left the farm to make their home in Farmersburg. They were the parents of seven children, six of whom survive. They are: Edward Huckstadt, Elkader; Mrs. Alice Reardon, Farmersburg; Mrs. Fred (Hilda) Schrader, Luana; Arno Huckstadt, Farmersburg; Mrs. Glen (Emma) Walter, Luana; and Elmer Huckstadt, Luana. His wife and a daughter, Mrs. Chas. (Anna) Schmidt, preceded him in death. Surviving also are thirteen grandchildren and one brother, William Huckstadt, Elkader.

Mr. Huckstadt was manager of the Farmersburg Cooperative company for 23 years, served on the town council for 22 years, and for many years was a member of the board of directors of the Farmersburg Telephone company.
