Clayton County Register, 18 May 1944.

STRAWBERRY POINT: Herbert Wesley Hesner, 51, died at a Rochester, Minn., hospital, where he was taken for treatment a few weeks ago. He was the son of C. F. and Clara Blanchard Hesner, born July 24, 1892, at Edgewood. On May 08, 1919, he was married to Harriet Connor of Strawberry Point. Two children were born to them, a son preceding his father in death. They made their home in Arlington before coming to Strawberry Point five years ago. He was an electrician.

Surviving are the wife and a daughter, Belva, a sister, Mrs. Ray Bush of Waterloo, and a step-sister, Mrs. Earl Hansel of Edgewood.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist church with the Rev. R. Park Anderson officiating. Music was furnished by Mr. and Mrs. Burton North of Arlington, accompanied by Mrs. O. C. Miehe. Burial was in the Strawberry Point cemetery.
