Clayton County Register, 04 May 1944.

GARBER: Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes Hansel, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Laura Oldham, near Fairview,, (occurred at the) church Sunday with the Rev. Hartsaugh officiating. Burial was made in the Brown cemetery near Colesburg.

Agnes Christine Hansel, daughter of James and Mary Foster, was born July 11, 1856, in Clayton county. Sept. 24, 1876, She was married to Alex Hansel, who with five of their seven children preceded her in death. Survivors are Mrs. Laura Oldham of Fairview, with whom Mrs. Hansel had made her home the past winter, and Mrs. Maude Riegel of Oswego, N.Y., also a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Fred Voss, John Schweikert, Earnie Smock, Elmer Morley, Earl Brown and Fred Amsden.
