Mrs. Charles Schmidt, 48, died of a cerebral hemorrhage at noon yesterday at the home of her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Glawe, in Elkader. She was stricken on a downtown street at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. Her home was on the Mrs. Lucy Prentice farm five miles east of St. Olaf. The body was removed to the Schultz Funeral home but no funeral arrangements had been made. Mrs. Schmidt is survived by her husband, two sons, William and Carl at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Huckstadt; three brothers, Alfred and Elmer of Farmersburg and Ed of Elkader; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Reardon, Mrs. Fred Schroeder and Mrs. Glen Walter
