Funeral services for George Frederick Krouse, 55, who died at his home Feb. 17, were held Saturday at Friedens Evangelical and Reformed church at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. P. Kitterer officiating.

Mr. Krouse was born in Volga township, Sept. 13, 1887 in the same home in which he died. He never married but spent his entire life with his parents on the farm. His mother preceded him in death in 1913.

Although he was never in good health, the direct cause of Mr. Krouse's death was a cold which developed into pneumonia. He was confined to his bed the last four weeks.

Besides his aged father, Henry Krouse, survivors include one sister, Elizabeth and one nephew, Julius Krouse, all at home.

Burial was made in Communia.

Pallbearers were Cyrus, Harley, Emil, Charlie and E. Krouse and Donald Thein.
