Funeral services for Mrs. Vina Rose, 82, were held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 from the Dell Rose home to the Volney Methodist church at two o'clock with the Rev. Harley W. Farnham officiating. Burial was made in the Smithfield cemetery.

Mrs. Rose was born Oct. 21, 1860, in New Hampshire, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Johnson. She was married Jan. 08, 1877, to Charles A. Rose and the couple lived near Volney, where Mr. Rose died in 1927. She was a member of the Volney Methodist church. Mrs. Rose died Monday at the home of her son, Dell Rose.

Surviving her are three daughters, Mrs. Blanche Thomas of Virginie, Minn.; Mrs. Leta Evans of Monona; and Mrs. Velva Stafford of Burlington; and four sons, Clarence Rose of Chamberlain, S.D.; Dell Rose of Volney; George Rose of Waukon; and Gilbert Rose of Monona; 21 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. One child died in infancy.
