Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Lundt were held at the Witt funeral chapel Tuesday afternoon Dec. 23, at 1:30 o'clock. Lorne McBain of Jackson, Mich., officiated at the services. Burial was in Mt. Harmony cemetery near Elkport. L. H. Brandt of Garnavillo officiated at the services at the grave.

Mrs. Lundt died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Turner, Saturday, Dec. 20. Death was due to a heart ailment.

Minnie Christine Lindenberg was born in Volga township near Garber May 14, 1881, the daughter of Henry and Christine Lindenberg. She received her education in the rural schools of the community.

On Jan. 17, 1900, she was married to August J. Lundt. They went to housekeeping on the Lundt homestead about four miles northwest of Elkport. Mr. Lundt died April 15, 1932. Mrs. Lundt remained on the farm until June, 1947, when she became ill and was taken to St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids, where she spent the next two months. She was then brought to the home of her daughter, where she died Dec. 20, having reached the age of 66 years, seven months and six days.

She is survived by one son and three daughters, Walter Lundt, Traer; Mrs. Ed (Agnes) Zittergruen, Guttenberg; Mrs. Walter (Eunice) Turner, Elkader, and Mrs. Dale (Anita) Hyde, Garber. Also one sister, Mrs. Bertha Ortman, Garber, two half-sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Schultz, Deep River, and Mrs. Anna Mentters, Saskatchewan, Canada, one half-brother, John Meyer, of Robert, Wis., and nine grandchildren survive.

Preceding her in death besides her husband were her parents, one sister, one brother, and two half-brothers.

Pallbearers were: Roy Ruegnitz, Phillip Beeh, Ed Lundt, Lawrence A. Miller, Willis Gottschalk and Louis Kruse.

Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Evan Schultz, North English; Mrs. Steven Van Dee, Deep River; Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Schayer, Toledo; Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Wittman, Dubuque; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lundt, Traer; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Zittergruen, June and Joann, Guttenberg; Mr. and Mrs. Dale Hyde and family, Garber; Mr. and Mrs. August Ortman, and Mrs. Roma Lindenberg, Garber.
