Funeral services for Melvin Nading were held at his home in Mederville Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Paul Kitterer of the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church, Elkader, officiating. Interment was in the Union cemetery near Littleport.

Melvin Uranus Nading, son of Mrs. Martha Nading, was born Aug. 27, 1910, on a farm near Littleport and died at his home in Mederville, Saturday, Dec. 06, 1947, of a lingering illness of asthma and other complications. He had reached the age of 37 years, three months and 10 days.

He spent his entire life on a farm near Littleport with the exception of the last few months which he spent in Mederville.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Martha Nading, a sister, Mrs. Viola Cole, Edgewood; two brothers, Harold Nading of Greeley, and Kenneth, at home, also four nephews, besides a large number of close relatives.

His father and one sister preceded him in death.

Pallbearers were: Roy Kuehl, Dale Sylvester, Glenn Stocks, Delbert Hughs, Harlan Thurn and Burdette Fritz.
